How long does it take to learn a handstand?

By Symon1 min read

A person in a handstand next to a bare wall

A free-standing handstand usually takes adults somewhere between six months and two years of regular practice. That range is not a dodge: where you land in it depends on your wrists, your shoulders and how often you actually train.

The path, in segments

TODO(client): to be written. Cover wrist and shoulder preparation, the hollow-body shape, the chest-to-wall handstand as the first honest milestone, and why balance away from the wall is a separate skill with its own timeline.
