Cookie policy

We set cookies only where the site cannot work without them. There is no advertising here and no third-party tracker — which is why you have never had to dismiss a consent banner on this site.

We do count visits, but not with cookies: nothing is written to your device to do it, and nothing is read from it either. How that works is described in the Privacy policy under «How we count visits».

• better-auth.session_token — keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in, expires sixty days after it was last used, and is deleted when you sign out. Over HTTPS it carries the __Secure- prefix.
• mb-theme — remembers whether you chose the light or the dark interface. Kept for a year.
• mb-sidebar — remembers whether you collapsed the sidebar in your account, so the page does not jump on load.
• mb-admin-sidebar — the same, for our staff in the administration panel.
• __prerender_bypass — set only for our editors, so they can preview an unpublished page. Short-lived, and never set for a visitor.

All of them are first-party: they are read by this site and by nothing else. None of them follows you to another website, and none is used for advertising or profiling.

• The offline cache — if you install the account app to your home screen, it keeps its own static files (scripts, styles, icons, the offline page) in your browser's cache so it opens without a connection. No page you are signed in to, and no personal data, is ever put there.
• Video — course video is delivered by Cloudflare Stream inside a player frame, which stores the technical data playback needs. Where a lesson embeds a public YouTube video, nothing loads until you press play, and we use the youtube-nocookie.com domain.
• Payment — the payment itself happens on Stripe's own page, not ours. Stripe sets its own cookies there, under its own privacy policy, mainly to detect fraud.

Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site. If you block ours, signing in stops working — the session cookie is the only thing that tells us it is still you. Deleting it has the same effect as signing out.

If we ever add something that stores or reads anything on your device beyond the cookies listed above — an advertising pixel, a third-party analytics script, an embedded widget that sets its own cookies — we will ask for your consent before it runs, and list it here.
