A belly that sticks out is not always fat

Two people with identical body composition can have visibly different profiles, and the difference is often a matter of how the ribcage is stacked over the pelvis. Tip the ribs up and the abdominal wall lengthens and pushes forward — nothing has been gained but a shape has changed.
